About - Background

Established in 2012, Motive8 Bradford LTD is a registered charity set up to directly benefit young people aged 14-19 years of age. The charity took over the role of providing vocational, alternative and personal development opportunities to young people including those already in schools, or not in education, employment or training (NEET).

Working with schools and other agencies, such as Aspire-igen, within the Bradford District and surrounding areas, Motive8 continues to offer a core curriculum whilst providing learners with advantage of quality functional/GCSE Maths, English and work placements. The charities founding directors bring a vast range of expertise and experience in engaging with, working with and retaining young people on the courses that they enrol on. The charity employs key highly experienced vocational training tutors that are specialists in their area of expertise.

Our organisation is run in a professional and sustainable way to make ensure that it can invest at all times in the on-going pursuit of our social mission, values and the organisation’s goals which are based on providing educational services to young people and contributing to our community. The charity has a prospective to continually develop the curriculum to reflect the aims and objectives of educational policies and the value-added prospect of utilising the extensive accommodation afforded by the premises leased from Bradford city council. Vocational training is recognised as playing an important role within education and learners’ progress as not all are academically equipped or indeed ready to move onto large colleges, sixth form or other educational establishments.

We are resolute in sustaining and developing a varied curriculum that meets the needs of both learners, schools and partnerships working with us. We aim to make the curriculum flexible and adaptable to changing times. Importantly, we are resolute in offering the added value of identifying and meeting the needs of individual learners some of whom may be challenged by the teaching and learning process.
